Build clearer responsibilities, stronger controls & review rhythms that show whether improvements are working.
Build a connected approach to the 27 operating functions of an RTO, with greater visibility of how each function contributes to quality, compliance & performance. Strengthen management capability across your team, clarify who is accountable & identify gaps before they become recurring problems. The Series helps you turn competing priorities into coordinated action, with practical ways to monitor progress & evaluate results.
Move from knowing what needs to improve to having the tools to do it. Work through real management challenges using topic-specific templates, checklists & practical workflows.
AI-enabled tools in every workshop! Explore how AI can support analysis, planning, documentation & review while you retain professional judgement & oversight, then apply these approaches to strengthen systems & reduce repetitive administration in your own RTO.

Build capability where it matters
Governance - Connect direction, accountability, risk, quality, finances & information so leaders can see what needs attention.
People - Strengthen workforce planning, personnel requirements, supervision, third-party arrangements & integrity.
Operations - Manage the student journey & supporting systems, from recruitment & enrolment through training, assessment, certification & organisational review.
From workshop discussion to management action
Diagnose. Design. Apply. Act. Check.
Explore the management context, work through realistic decisions & develop an approach for your RTO. Identify one improvement & leave with an owner, a due date, the evidence you need & a check of whether the change worked.
Across the series, return to six practical questions:
- Who owns it?
- What controls are needed?
- What evidence matters?
- How is it monitored?
- When should concerns be escalated?
- Is the approach effective?

Feedback from Phill's past sessions. The best part was...
It is a good use of my time to attend the workshops, as I always take something significant away that I can action within my RTO. Thanks vetr
Phill is always great at answering questions on the spot. His wealth of knowledge & experience with all things VET is invaluable
The best organised & run virtual workshop I have ever attended
Phill's presentation was exceptionally well-structured & delivered with clarity & precision
The takeaway tools, the activities in the workbook & the examples given & explained extremely useful saving our organisation much time as we work to updating resources to meet compliance & deliver quality outcomes
Phill always brings a level of detailed understanding to the topic that gives me high confidence that the guidance is valid, well backed in policy & expectations & can be used to steer my RTO forwards
I have attended other similar AI sessions, however this one provided so many more takeaways & supportive templates & covered the focus in a much more valuable "why" way for me
Phill is a great presenter. He makes it real & supports with practical applications
Getting to do a real review together was great, the template & resources make the task feel achievable
I loved the encouragement & motivation to be actioning & releasing improvements weekly
I've been involved in the RTO world for 23 years, but again left today's session with great tips, advice & knowledge
Thank you for these management sessions - great value Tips & techniques to immediately implement!
The 3 hour session was so well structured, interspersed with meaningful reflective activities, short breaks & excellent overview, analysis of new units & great interaction facilitated through Slido questions. The workbook provided prior was good preparation prior to & for the session
Practical tools to implement & hearing real stories of how these tools work
I enjoy the interactive activities to be able to discuss with other practitioners & see others viewpoints
