RTO MANAGER SERIES 2027 | PEOPLE | WORKSHOP 14 OF 30

Keep accountability visible when another organisation contributes to your service

Control arrangements where another organisation contributes to recruitment, delivery, assessment, support or administration while the RTO remains accountable.

Outsourcing activity does not outsource accountability. Weak arrangements usually reflect unclear roles, poor evidence flows, inadequate monitoring or slow corrective action. The management challenge is not simply to have a policy, form or procedure in place... It is to make ownership, decision rights, controls & evidence visible enough that managers can see whether the function is operating as intended & intervene when it starts to drift.

Why are we using this party & how will we know they continue to meet the RTO's requirements?

Examine where responsibilities sit, what controls should operate, what information management should be able to see & which exceptions or indicators should trigger review, escalation or corrective action.
