Managing Privacy - RTO Manager Series
Activity
RTO MANAGER SERIES 2027 | OPERATIONS | WORKSHOP 16 OF 30
Know where personal information goes & what to do when something goes wrong
Manage personal & sensitive information across collection, access, use, disclosure, retention & incidents.
Privacy failures often arise from ordinary operational choices such as over-collection, broad access, informal sharing & new technology. The management challenge is not simply to have a policy, form or procedure in place... It is to make ownership, decision rights, controls & evidence visible enough that managers can see whether the function is operating as intended & intervene when it starts to drift.
What personal information do we hold, why do we hold it & who can access or disclose it?
Examine where responsibilities sit, what controls should operate, what information management should be able to see & which exceptions or indicators should trigger review, escalation or corrective action.

Feedback from Phill's past sessions. The best part was...
Feeling reassured that my understanding of what is expected under the standards is correct, & that resistance to change is not unique to my organisation
A very well put together short course
Very informative & a good refresher
Great info I didn't know :)
Concise coverage of such a complex topic
