RTO MANAGER SERIES 2027 | OPERATIONS | WORKSHOP 28 OF 30

Resolve individual matters fairly & use them to strengthen the RTO

Establish accessible, fair & timely complaint & appeal pathways & use case information as management evidence.

A process can meet procedure yet fail if learners cannot access it, cases stall, conflicts are unmanaged or recurring themes are missed. The management challenge is not simply to have a policy, form or procedure in place... It is to make ownership, decision rights, controls & evidence visible enough that managers can see whether the function is operating as intended & intervene when it starts to drift.

Can people raise concerns safely & can management see what complaints & appeals are revealing about the organisation?

Examine where responsibilities sit, what controls should operate, what information management should be able to see & which exceptions or indicators should trigger review, escalation or corrective action.

Participant feedback

Feedback from Phill's past sessions. The best part was...

The ability to work through the notepad whilst in the webinar & the time allocated to do this was superb
I like how it clearly outlined what we could adjust to make sure the assessments & content is delivered with fairness to all students
I really got a lot out of this session. I liked the emphasis on how to work more constructively with trainees particularly in terms of how to frame the conversations
Tip to use the word item in place of negatives like issue or mistake. A real gem I will use & value
Phill is always great at answering questions on the spot. His wealth of knowledge & experience with all things VET is invaluable
