Inclusive training design under the 2025 Standards is about creating learning experiences that enable all learners to engage, progress, and demonstrate competence — without lowering expectations or compromising assessment integrity. It recognises that learner diversity is the norm in vocational education and that quality training anticipates common barriers rather than waiting for learners to struggle.
This module supports trainers to design training that is structured, accessible, and flexible by design. It explores how inclusive practices can be embedded into lesson planning, learning activities, and online delivery to support capability development, clarity, and learner confidence. The focus is on removing unnecessary barriers to learning while preserving rigour and alignment to training product requirements.
By the end of this module, participants will have a practical understanding of how inclusive design strengthens learner outcomes, supports fair and consistent assessment, and meets the expectations of the Standards — ensuring flexibility works in service of quality, not at the expense of it.
