This course is delivered 100% online in a self-directed and self-paced format, giving you the flexibility to learn at your own convenience

Deliver It!
Assess It!

Each unit includes interactive activities, videos, and real-world examples to make your learning experience dynamic, practical, and easy to follow. Automated knowledge checks help reinforce key concepts

 

Time Commitment
You’ll have 90 days of access from the day you enrol, giving you the freedom to complete the course entirely at your own pace. The learning and assessment activities are designed to take up to 6 hours in total—so you could easily finish in a single weekend if you wish.

Unit 1: Design It!

Understanding learner characteristics and training needs
Applying adult learning principles and learning theories
Planning inclusive, engaging and outcomes-based training sessions
Structuring session plans using basic instructional design techniques

Unit 2: Deliver It!

Facilitating safe and inclusive work skill instruction
Using effective training and coaching techniques
Gathering learner feedback and responding to diverse learning styles
WHS responsibilities in the learning environment

Unit 3: Assess It!

Understanding the difference between training and assessment
Applying the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence
Supporting fair, valid, and consistent assessment decisions
Overview of assessment methods, RPL, and reasonable adjustment

Assessments 

Assessment in this course is fully online and automated, designed to reinforce your understanding in a clear and supportive way. After completing each unit, Design It! Deliver It! and Assess It! You’ll complete a set of multiple-short answer Knowledge questions to check your learning.

These knowledge checks are:

  • Self-marking and provide instant feedback
  • Scenario-based to reflect real-world VET practices
  • Designed to test your understanding of key concepts and responsibilities as a trainer/assessor

Will this course count towards the TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
It is designed as an introductory or refresher program to help build foundational skills in training design, delivery, and assessment. While it does not result in a formal qualification, it can be a helpful starting point before undertaking the full TAE40122 or as part of your ongoing professional development. 

Do I need any prior experience to enrol in this course?

How long do I have to complete the course?
You’ll have 90 days of access from your enrolment date. The course is completely self-paced, so you can work through the content and assessments at your own convenience within that timeframe.

Will I receive a certificate at the end?
Yes! Once you’ve completed all three units and successfully passed the knowledge questions, you’ll be issued a Certificate of Completion, which you can download and keep for your records.
