Learning Outcomes

The course explores Validity as a Rule of Evidence as stated in Clause 1.8 of the Standards for RTOs 2015. 

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe strategies that can be used to ensure assessment evidence is valid

  • Describe the importance and functions of the National Register for Vocational Education and Training (training.gov.au)
  • Describe the importance of documentary evidence of valid assessment
  • Understand the responsibilities of assessors to be assured that the evidence demonstrates that all UOC and Assessment Requirement components have been explicitly assessed as satisfactory before determining a competent result
