The course explores Validity as a Rule of Evidence as stated in Clause 1.8 of the Standards for RTOs 2015.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Describe the function and components of Assessment Requirements
- Define explicit evidence and explain the importance of explicit evidence
- Describe strategies that can be used to ensure assessment evidence is valid
- Describe how assessment mapping can be used as a tool to ensure valid assessment evidence
- Describe the importance and functions of the National Register for Vocational Education and Training (training.gov.au)
- Describe the importance of documentary evidence of valid assessment
- Understand the responsibilities of assessors to be assured that the evidence demonstrates that all UOC and Assessment Requirement components have been explicitly assessed as satisfactory before determining a competent result
