Understand the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF) & how the new unit of competency format reshapes delivery, assessment & compliance
The VET sector is entering a new era with the introduction of the Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF) and the revised unit of competency format. From 1 July 2025, 2025 SRTO definitions and new Principles & Rules of VET reform are reshaping how training products are designed, delivered & assessed.
This national workshop recorded in November 2025 provides a clear introduction to these changes, unpack the redefined meaning of ‘competency’ and explain how the new frameworks will affect every provider. It is an essential first step for RTOs, TAFEs, curriculum developers, trainers & assessors who need to understand the reforms before diving into the detail of rewriting units & assessments.
This is your opportunity to get ahead of the reforms, hear directly about what has changed & start preparing your organisation for the shift to new training product structures.

Very good for all RTOs
This was a very useful workshop
Thank you for being so proactive in the space. It helps us to stay compliant & delivery quality training
Thank you for another great informative session
This was a timely PD event
Phill has provided us with insights & tips of what to look for when providing feedback on draft units. Thank you
Great as always :)
Every trainer & assessor needs to attend this
Phill thank you as always, great opportunity to take time out to focus on this topic
The best part was...
Overall explanation of the TPOF
Acknowledging the many pitfalls of the new framework
Phill explained it in great detail in a way that we could all follow
Opportunity to hear honest views from an expert
The webinar was so informative
I came into the webinar relatively blind to the TPOF, so I found the entire presentation extremely useful, most importantly knowing the work that lies ahead and having an idea of what actions will need to be taken over the coming months to prepare for the change over to the new ASK model
Knowledge shared in a succinct format with breaks
Current and relevant... & Phill's sense of humor
This was one of the best PD sessions I've attended
Phill's expertise and knowledge is applauded (& his wry sense of humour)
The 3 hour session was so well structured, interspersed with meaningful reflective activities, short breaks & excellent overview, analysis of new units & great interaction facilitated through Slido questions. The workbook provided prior was good preparation prior to & for the session
Going through the TPOF, its changes, areas to look out for
VET Community questions & validating areas with answers in real time
The TPOF Action plan was great to reflect & put areas to action or FYI thoughts together
