Explore the latest significant amendments in Australian employment law

In this #ManagementMonday session recorded in June 2024, vetr Community Advisor Phill Bevan covers the changes with a focus on VET provider operations. We discuss the new wage theft legislation that introduces severe penalties for non-compliance & the refined definitions & rights of casual workers, providing clarity & future pathways for employment conversions.

Consider the modifications to the definition of casual workers, emphasising the new criteria that distinguish casual employment & the conditions under which casual workers can transition to permanent roles.

Explore the 'Right to Disconnect' laws that protect employees' work-life balance & the latest on industrial manslaughter laws, which significantly increase the accountability & penalties for workplace safety breaches.
