Observation with Purpose: A Mentoring-Based Approach to Trainer Development
Course
Includes the Trainer Observation & Development Tool + Templates
Observation is one of the most powerful tools we have for improving training quality — yet too often, the process feels inconsistent, evaluative, or compliance-driven. This workshop reframes observation as a supportive, mentoring-based practice that builds trainer capability, strengthens learner outcomes, and enhances organisational quality.
In this two-hour session, you’ll learn how to implement the Trainer Observation & Development Tool, a structured system designed to help RTOs conduct observations that are clear, constructive, and developmental. Grounded in the principles of assertive mentoring and aligned with the 2025 Standards for RTOs, this tool helps create observation processes that feel safe, purposeful, and genuinely useful.
Whether you’re overseeing a team of trainers, conducting performance reviews, or strengthening continuous improvement systems, this workshop gives you everything you need to embed observation practices that lift capability and confidence across your RTO.
