Supporting Vulnerable Learners in VET

Course

Understand the spectrum & complexity of disadvantage within the VET learners enrolling in Cert II & III

Vocational Education and Training (VET) helps people grow personally and professionally and provides a range of skilled workers for every industry.

The VET system also allows greater access to education for those who may have experienced barriers to participation in education. When considering VET for those individuals belonging to one or more disadvantaged population; equity, access and participation alone only tell part of the story (NCVER, 2014).

Teacher engagement, how learners participate, and the outcomes they achieve, is crucial towards employment outcomes and continuation of their learning and or educational journey in life.

Join Raj Selvam for this important 90-minute webinar exploring techniques, tools and trauma informed practices to support disadvantaged learners when delivering Cert II and III level qualifications.

This is an interactive session that will be delivered by exploring case studies. Participants are encouraged to bring their own case studies or actual stories to unpack in a non-judgemental and supportive environment.
